Pediatric dentistry

Pediatric dentistry is responsible for the care and treatment of teeth during childhood. Oral health is an important part of the child’s general health. It is recommended to schedule child’s first visit around 3 years old, when the eruption of the 20 teeth that make up the first dentition has been completed.

The most frequent problems of children oral health are caries, dental affectations due to traumatisms and alterations in oral growth and development. Caries is currently the most frequent chronic disease in childhood and has serious repercussions on the child’s general health, such as intense pain, facial infections that may require emergency treatment.

One of the objectives during dental treatment is to direct the child empowering his positive attitude in front of the treatment. By achieving their cooperation and trust, we will be able to create a good dental environment, that the child will have a good experience, forming a basis for future positive interactions with the dentist and the dental equipment.

We want to ensure that our child patients become adults with healthy mouths and for this purpose child cooperation is as important as the much appreciated help of their parents.
